What do blackjack dealers do before they leave the table?

I remember watching a blackjack table and before the dealer left after his shift, he did this motion with his hands. What was that?

He/She is simply clearing their hands to show the camera that they are not holding any chips up their sleeves or in their hands, make sense now.
