Would love to here some reviews about the hotel. I’m heading there in May. I just wanted a cheap and decent place to stay.

I think you may have posted this in the wrong category. :)
Anyway, we go to Las Vegas every year and Excalibur is the only hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It is very nice and in an excellent location. We always stay for the $51/night rate and we stay for 4 nights or more. It’s a low maintenance hotel, you aren’t going to be treated like anyone special, but you can come and go as you please. We just got back from there 2 weeks ago, and they just opened their newly renovated pool. There are 4 separate pools now, and like 5 hot tubs, and water slides in one of the pools. If you can afford it, pay the extra $20/night for the newly renovated rooms. They look really nice, but I always get the standard room with no view or anything because we only sleep there, and I’d rather spend my money on entertainment.
Excalibur is connected to Luxor and Mandalay Bay by mall or tram. It is across the street from MGM Grand where you can catch the bus or the Monorail to anywhere. It’s a nice scenic walk to any of the hotels. In their food court they have a McDonalds, Quiznos, Pizza Hut, Krispy Kreme, etc. Sherwood Forest cafe on the casino floor is a great restaurant. They just opened a Dick’s Last Resort near the entrance, which would be fun.
I don’t really have anything bad to say about it. That’s the only place we stay because it is so affordable, and I can’t say enough about the location. I also love the castle/ medieval theme it represents. If you get a chance, go see their Tournament of Kings dinner show, it is only $58.24 per person and it is great. They have a midway downstairs with carnival games that are really easy to win and not extremely expensive.
Have Fun! I definitely recommend this hotel.
I have not stayed there but go to Vegas twice a year for the last 10 years. You really do not spend much time in the room. The hotel is nice as far as hotels go. It is kid oriented though I can tell you that. It is one of the only kid oriented hotels left – there are people dressed up in Renaissance clothing doing magic tricks throughout the hotel. I have not eaten there so I can not tell you about the restaurants. The Venetian is where I usually stay – you must make it point to go to see the gondola and the restaurants are amazing and definitely hit the Aladdin for shopping. They have some great restaurants there as well – not as expensive as the rest. Have a great trip.
