I am 19 and going to Vegas with my friends and family next month. If I was caught with a Fake ID in a casino what would happen? Would I just get thrown out or would there be a fine involved?
**Please offer comments related to my question and not comments advising me that Fake IDs are bad**
****I just wanted to add that I am a Canadian citizen****

It depends on the fake ID. You are more likely to be caught if you have an American fake ID since Americans are more familiar with them. If you have a really good Canadian one, they probably won’t know the difference.
The big problem is that in the best case scenario you are going to lose money. If you win more than $1,200 on a slot machine the first thing they will do is check your ID. If you a foreign they will probably want further proof like a passport. Sooner or later they will discover you are under 21, and that money you just won will no longer be yours.
Imagine the excitement of winning $100,000, and then being told that you could not have it and that you were in fact going to be arrested.
If you are going to use the false ID at all, I’d steer clear of the gambling.
why are asking? do u have a fake id?
Well are you really 19? Because you need to be 18 to gamble! I mean there would be a fine and one unforgettable trip to jail!!!! So wait a few years till you’re 18 and don’t mess your life up!
what goes on in vagas stayes in vagas so try it maybe u will get to stay longer then exepected
To the person that said you had to be 18…. I’m pretty sure Vegas law states that you have to be 21 to gamble. Now let me tell you my story, I went to Atlantic City, New Jersey, thinking the gambling age was 18, (I’m 20) and Theres nobody at the door checking ID, so I just got into the casino and gambled then a security guard randomly carded me, and after that it was just a whole pile of shit, I got a court date, and had to go to court, and got fined around $700.
Now, If the casino that you’re going to, cards people at the door, then you should go for it. Worst come to worst, they tell u that ur ID is fake, but you still havent done anything wrong, and if you get in, then I doubt they will randomly check your ID because they don’t expect underage people to be in there to begin with.
Personally I dont believe they will do much more than kick you out, in LAS VEGAS…. unlike New Jersey… they are more relaxed on this sort of thing.
If its anything like Atlantic City you will be arrested in handcuffs and the court can order a suspension on your driver license for 6 months. They have classes for employees on how to spot fake Id’s, but Vegas might be different
You must be 21. You could be subject to arrest by the Casino. They pay big bucks for their license and by someone underage playing there you put them at risk of a citation from the State and a court appearance. You could be subject to a heavy fine. The State does not go easy on cheaters or those that violate gaming laws. That’s the States bread and butter. I am a retired Police Officer and know of what I speak. It is not worth the risk. Especially if you are using a false I.D. and you know you are, that shows intent and then the Casino will show you their intent.
You would be arrested and probably fined. You may also be deported and may have your travel restricted.
foreigner, on the eastern seaboard with phony papers. i believe homeland security would like to have a talk with you
