Im doing an assignment and it is completely whacked but anyway i have to do it and if anyone has played roulette than how is the probability related to the odds of that gambling game?

How do You play roulette? I know how i play but how does everyone else play? I usually pick a third and go for it hitting the four corners of the whole section and then the middle numbers and really ive won quite a bit doing this i turned 200 into over 5000 the other day in like 25 mins. I know i got lucky but my section hit 7 times in a row
