Do Casinos let you play two different 2 to 1 outside bets in roulette?

I’ve never heard of any restrictions on what you can bet in roulette but it seems like casinos would like people betting two dozens because the chance of them winning is too high. Is this bet not aloud? If so, are there any other roulette bets that aren’t aloud in casinos?

Madpup is right any bet that is not a good one will be knocked back and the reason explained to the customer.
Casinos only look at the house advantage which is in simple terms their profit over time. They are not particularly interested in how a player plays.
The competition between casinos is so high that they are trying to give the best entertainment to the player. This is what they aim for. Profit is guaranteed.

In answer to the first part of your question – yes its perfectly ok to bet 2 of the 3 dozens, and in the casino I work in its a very popular bet indeed.. although sometimes not with my bosses as it can be quite an effective money maker! Ive yet to see a casino where its not allowed but if anybody has visited one i would be interested to know :)
In answer to the second part of your question – we are told to knock back any bets that are disadvantageous to the player. The best examle of this is betting on both red and black. As each bet pays even money you are only ever going to win back the same amout that you wager.. as the losing bet will pay the winning one. In the long run you are waiting to lose as eventually zero will come in and you will lose half of your stake. This applies to betting on all 3 dozens aswell, although the player will lose everything if zero comes in.
As for any other bets being banned because they are too likely to win.. I havent seen one yet. I have however seen customers been barred from a casino simply becuase they are "too lucky" or seem to win all the time.
Hope this helps :) x
You can bet two different 2-1 bets. Why not?
You’ve got a little less than a 2/3 chance to win 50% of your bet, you’ve got a little more than a 1/3 chance of losing 100% of your bet.
The house advantage doesn’t change at all.
You can bet Red and Black if you were so inclined.
Casinos have no problem with people playing two dozens, or two columns, on a roulette table. In fact they absolutely love it, because it’s the worst bet in the house for the customer, the only one that offers odds-on.
Example: you bet €10 on each dozen. Total bet = €20. If you win, the bet pays off €30, but you lose the €10 on the dozen that didn’t win, so you’re left with €30 in your hand. Net profit, €10. You’re betting €20 to win €10, (2-1 on), whereas betting on one dozen, you’re betting €10 to win €20 (2-1 against).
Betting 2 dozens or columns is terrible value.
It’s a bet you generally see from young guys coming to casinos for the first time, because it seems like a safe bet – you’re going to win 2 out of three times, and it seems to make your money last longer, but believe me, it just increases the certainty that the casino is going to get all your money before the night is out. The casino doesn’t care how long it takes, they’re open all night :)
