What are the basic steps to play roulette ?

Is their any specific rule that before playing roulette you have to qualify the other previous steps ?

Odd is red and even are black so You bet on the number(s) that you want to bet on then they take a small white ball and place it in the roulette wheel while it is spinning once the wheel stops if you have the number that the ball stopped on you win.
