British betting giant Ladbrokes has beaten off competition from almost 300 other sites to win the UK Online Bingo Site Of The Year 2009 prize from online bingo news portal WhichBingo.co.uk.

Gibraltar-licensed Bingo. Ladbrokes.com appeared in 18th spot on last year’s list with WhichBingo.co.uk citing the domain’s 2008 makeover and recent television advertising campaign for the improvement.

“It’s the most prestigious award in online bingo and we’re thrilled to win it,” said Ruairi Boyle, Head Of Games And Bingo for Ladbrokes.

“We want to share this success with all our roomies who voted for us and helped us to the top of the bingo pile. In addition to Ladbrokes, Alderney-licensed GoldenHatBingo.com took home the UK New Online Bingo Site Of The Year 2009 prize while NewBingoBilly.com was named as the year’s best international bingo domain.

WhichBingo.co.uk revealed that this was the seventh edition of its online bingo awards and the fourth year of the UK-only honours with voters turning out in record numbers.
